ATTIRE/JEWELRY/HAIR ADORNMENT

HAIR ADORNMENT
In all athletic activities governed by the NFHS (including cheerleading), the wearing of feathers, tinsel, etc. in the hair is not permitted in practice /competition /while performing. Because of the nature of these activities, and the fact that this hair adornment serves no useful purpose, this policy is strictly done from the stand point of safety.

The activities of Bowling, Golf and Tennis are not governed by the NFHS. The rule codes for these sports do not address the wearing of this hair adornment. Therefore, at the direction of the participating school, feathers would be permissible. Remember: ALL ATTIRE MUST BE SCHOOL APPROVED.

COACHES MUST GET SCHOOL APPROVAL BEFORE ORDERING UNIFORMS

Bowlers shall wear appropriate clothing and shoes for all competitions.

APPROPRIATE ATTIRE:
• Designated team jersey/top
• Appropriate pants or skirt
• Uniform must be worn as intended by manufacturer
• NOTE: Allowances made for religious dress and medals and medical medals
• Players are to be neat in their attire

INAPPROPRIATE ATTIRE:
• Jeans, yoga pants, wind pants, sweats, tights
• Shorts and sagging, baggy pants
• Hats, caps, bandanas, do-rags and any type of head gear
• Jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, etc...)
• Glitter, body paint (hair, face, uniform, body)
• Clothing or other apparel with inappropriate pictures or verbage
