OFFICIALS-WEAR YOUR SHIRT TO WORK TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9
This is National Activities Week & Tuesday, 10/09 is Officials Appreciation Day. Volleyball officials are encouraged to wear your white officiating polo to work. As you show your colleagues, etc. that you officiate, tell them why you do and how they can also get involved.

SPORTING CONDUCT & ONCOURT CELEBRATIONS
The NFHS disapproves of any form of taunting which is intended or designed to embarrass, ridicule or demean others under any circumstances (Rule Book, pg. 48). Players/teams that celebrate a point/good play are to do so with their teammates and not direct this toward the opposing team.

PLAYERS & COLLEGE VISITS
Coaches, please visit with your players who visit a college during the school volleyball season about what about what they may not do. KSHSAA Rule 26 does not permit players to practice with a college team or try-out (i.e., drill with some players so the coach can observe their skills, etc.).

SAFETY IN PRE-MATCH WARM-UP
As a reminder, the pre-match warm-up for postseason tournaments is located on page 19 of the KSHSAA Volleyball Manual. When a team has use of the court for hitting, etc. the other team may work on skills, etc. off the court. In the interest of safety, the “off court team” should be located behind the on-court team or off-court on the side of the court. Please use caution when participating in "shared serving".

PROFESSIONALISM IS EVERYONE'S JOB!
Coaches & officials are reminded of the responsibility you have to be professional in your duties with school activity programs. You have a tremendous opportunity & an obligation to serve as a positive role model for players, spectators, other officials, etc.
- OFFICIALS --- REMEMBER: The most important match is the one you are working!!
- COACHES --- REMEMBER: Worry not that your players listen to you; worry most that they watch you.
