KAY Klips
December 2011

On December 6, Claflin-Central Plains HS and Hoisington HS KAY Clubs co-sponsored “Pink-Out” Night at the first basketball game of the 2011-12 season. Spectators from both schools were encouraged to put aside their school colors and wear pink for the evening to help promote breast cancer awareness in both communities. KAY members also sold pink bracelets at the game, with proceeds slated for breast cancer research.

The KAY Club in Centralia participated recently in their annual Rake and Run. For two hours, KAY members went to the homes of Centralia’s senior citizens and raked leaves, which were then hauled to the leaf dump. Students enjoy the opportunity to help out the elderly in their community while being together with friends.
