Continue to "GLOW" starting with our schools and communities

Are you ready to be engaged, energized, and inspired to Go Lead Our World (GLOW)? Then be sure to attend the KSHSAA Student Council Advisors Workshop in Topeka on Wednesday, November 7. I am excited after listening to you, the STUCO Advisors, around the state at our Regional STUCO Conferences, to provide a meaningful and impactful day of collaborating, learning, networking, and having fun. Requested topics and formats will be presented and utilized, so come ready to be an active participant in an established environment of learning and leading. See you in Topeka on November 7th!

OPEN SESSION PRESENTER
Danny Collie, Executive Director of Arkansas Association of Student Councils


Danny has been the AASC Executive Director for 13 years. He has worked with Student Council for 45 years and enjoyed 38 years of teaching English/Communications. He will provide a detailed look at what advisors and students can expect when visiting beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas and Lake Hamilton High School June 21-23 for the VISION Conference 2019. Danny will also share insights about Student Leadership in Arkansas.


BREAKOUT SESSION TOPICS
A variety of experts and peers as well as former student delegates/Junior Counselors will be presenting on topics including:

  • Communication with Student Councils & Community (Utilizing Google & Social Media)
  • Pep Rallies, Dances, Homecoming Festivities, Oh My!
  • Constitutions & Elections
  • Team Building Activities (Physical & Mental)
  • Community Service & Outreach Opportunities: “Can” be more than food drives!
  • Kansas Student Leadership Summer Workshop: Both a Student and an Advisor Perspective
