Non Cheer Team Member Mascots
Mascots that are not members of the school’s cheer squad are NOT covered by catastrophic insurance and they do not have to meet eligibility requirements. A non cheer team member mascot may never step foot on a playing surface until the end of a game (i.e. basketball court, football playing field). Cheer Team Member Mascot
Mascots that are bona-fide members of the school’s cheer team are covered by catastrophic insurance. A school would need to submit them on their online eligibility report and the student would be required to have a physical on file. These mascots must be full-time students at their school. Cheer team member mascots are allowed on playing surface just like cheerleaders.

Mascots may NEVER stunt.
